About us

Our Story

For decades, the foundation of our family has been woven into the vibrant, exacting world of the Turkish fashion industry. Growing up surrounded by Istanbul’s rich textile heritage, Gülizar and her sister spent years mastering the fine details of garment construction, fabric sourcing, and the art of tailoring. We learned early on that true quality is something you can feel—in the drape of a dress, the weight of a tunic, and the precision of a seam.

But the vision for Modesso didn't take shape in a design studio in Turkey; it happened during a family visit to the United States.
While visiting our brother in the US, we wanted to do some shopping. What we found instead was a frustrating gap in the market. American retail offered endless options, but for women who dressed modestly, the choices felt like a series of compromises. If a piece was fashionable, it wasn't modest. If it was modest, it lacked modern style or was made with cheap, synthetic fabrics. And the rare brands that did offer high-quality modest clothing came with luxury price tags that made them inaccessible for everyday wear.
We knew it didn’t have to be this way.

Our Mission

We launched Modesso to bridge the gap between high fashion, modesty, and accessibility. Backed by our Zeki Triko roots and decades of manufacturing expertise, we bypassed the traditional retail middlemen to bring premium, thoughtfully designed modest wear directly to the American market.
We believe that modest clothing should never feel like an afterthought. It should be deliberate, chic, and empowering. From perfectly opaque modal-blends to asymmetrical tunics that flow with your movement, every piece in our collection is designed with a deep understanding of what modest women actually need.

Our Promise

High quality should be affordable. Modesty should be fashionable. And finding clothes that make you feel beautiful, comfortable, and true to your values should be effortless.

Welcome to Modesso.
